「ナイスガイズ」、のような「ナイスムービー」を見るのは久し振りだ。だいぶ太った中年おやじRussell Croweとポンコツ・イクメン（イケメン）Ryan Goslingの最高のバディー物コメディは面白すぎる。けれども、決して浅い映画ではなく、劇中の「メッセージ付きポルノ」みたいに、価値観や政治観を上手く埋め込んでいる。
例えば、Ryan Goslingは決して娘の素行不良を許さなかったり、ヒトラーに例えて悪人たちを罵ったりだとか。基本この映画の登場人物は、良い事をしようとすれば運が付き、悪い事をすれば必ずパニッシュメントが待っているとなる。それも人だけではなく、車メーカーが環境問題を隠蔽するなら、衰退して日本車に超えられるよと「預言」したもの。これは監督が伝えようとする一番のテーマではないだろうか。
「つまらない」と評した人も多く見られるが、その人たちはおそらく悪行に天罰が降りる事を理解していないか、分かっているがリアルに悪い事していてこの映画を見て不安になった、のどっちかだろうね。

文句なしのスターウォーズ映画。まさかのエピソード4１０分前まで繋ぐストーリー、思った以上壮絶だった。序盤は少しグタグタした感じもあるが、後半でなんとか回収できた。細かいところに欠落があるものの、見れば胸が熱くなるような「スターウォーズ」シーンがいっぱいだった。なので、映画としての星3.5、プラス「スターウォーズ・アドバンテージ」（星1つ）の星4.5をあげよう。
